LONDRES (RT) 03 de agosto de 2020.- El político retirado británico John Hume, Premio Nobel de la Paz de 1988, falleció este lunes a los 83 años. El exlíder del Partido Socialdemócrata y Laborista murió pacíficamente tras una breve enfermedad, informaron sus familiares sin revelar mayores detalles.
En 1988, Hume compartió con el líder unionista del Ulster, David Trimble, el prestigioso galardón por su aporte a la solución pacífica del conflicto en Irlanda del Norte, que se cobró la vida de más de 3,500 personas.
